We applaud the efforts of volunteer management software, but we wanted something more. So we dug into the goals and experiences of those with the change-the-world mentality to get a clearer view of what’s needed most. Then we got to work on building the solution.

The Starfish
Our Community Service Organizations (CSO’s) are the starfish on the beach of life.
Do you remember the famous iteration of The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley? Hundreds of starfish stranded on the beach with no way to access the ocean unless someone helps.
A single person picks them up, one by one, and gently tosses each starfish back into the sea. A pessimist, also walking along the beach but passing the starfish by, confronts this person, condemning the action as useless in the face of such overwhelming need.
“You can’t help them all, so what’s the point?” the pessimist insists. Our hero, the defender of the starfish, considers the statement, bends down, picks up another starfish and throws it back into the ocean. “I can help that one,” our hero says.
The pessimist considers this, and upon reflection bends down, picks up a starfish and throws it back into the ocean.

The Story
If there’s one thing Facebook taught the world, it’s that people like to share. We like to showcase. And we like to stay in touch. They took a decentralized way of showcasing our lives and tied it all together in one place, a one-stop shop for all things us. Facebook improved the way we share our lives, showcase our achievements, and rally our causes. …it’s an American icon.
And so is Giving.
You see, we were born from a desire to change the injustices of our world. From our declaration of independence to our current battles with the injustices of homelessness, world hunger, human trafficking, child abuse, cancer, animal rights and global warming, the list goes on and on. We have never stopped reaching for the fulfillment of our original declaration – “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights” - it’s who we are, it’s what we do.
But how we go about it could use some updating. Simply stated, we’re over saturated, there’s too many, it’s too much and life is too fast. Giving is overwhelming.
Zoe Blueprint changes all that. We centralized it to a one-stop platform that showcases our change-the-world achievements. Not just through sharing but through our giving ~ of our time, our money and our purchases, that is, where we’ll spend our dollars.
And we’re smart about it too.
We don’t want to just give. We want to give efficiently and effectively. We want our dollars to work for us and them.
